September marked an exciting milestone for PROcan as we attended the Newport International Boat Show in Rhode Island - and made our first-ever PROcan sales.
The show brought together boaters, marine professionals, manufacturers and safety enthusiasts from across the industry, giving us the opportunity to introduce PROcan to the boating community and demonstrate how it can fit alongside the safety equipment already carried onboard.
Bringing PROcan to the Water
When an emergency happens on the water, professional medical help may be far away. In a drowning or other emergency where someone is not breathing, the people already on the scene may need to begin CPR while waiting for help to arrive.
PROcan is a first-of-its-kind portable oxygen canister designed to enable anyone, regardless of training, to deliver oxygen-rich rescue breaths during CPR. Compact and lightweight, it can be stored onboard alongside other marine safety equipment, ready for an unexpected emergency.
At Newport, we had the opportunity to speak directly with boat owners about these situations and demonstrate how PROcan works.
Our First PROcan Customers
The most exciting part of the show came when attendees didn't just want to learn more about PROcan — they wanted to have one onboard.
During the show, we officially took our first pre-orders, marking the first sales in PROcan's history.
For a product that has gone through years of design, engineering, prototyping and testing, seeing people choose to purchase PROcan and add it to their own emergency preparedness was an incredibly exciting moment for our team.
It also reinforced something we've believed throughout PROcan's development: people want practical tools that allow them to take action while waiting for professional help to arrive.
Just the Beginning
Newport was an important first step for PROcan in the boating community, and we're excited to continue introducing the product to boaters, marinas and marine safety organizations.
Most importantly, we're grateful to everyone who stopped to learn about PROcan — and especially to the customers who placed their trust in us by becoming some of the very first people to pre-order PROcan.
